Center for Justice and Equality

The Center for Justice and Equality defends and protects civil and human rights through litigation and advocacy. The Center's work focuses on protecting the rights of especially vulnerable or disfavored social groups by standing up to corrupt and abusive power systems and the individuals and organizations that perpetuate them. The Center's work includes litigating individual and class-action civil suits in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate level; representing individuals in state and federal postconviction challenges; representing individuals at parole hearings; and providing general support and advocacy to those living in and affected by unjust and unconstitutional prisons, laws, and power structures.
